I am new to the PBS and L-O-V-E it. Love the concept and the ease. Just can't believe it!
Anyway, I have been browsing the forums trying to read up on rules and etiquette for PBS. I saw topics about people that have special conditions when they request books like coming from a non-smoking house etc. What I wanted to know was, when people have these conditions, is it obvious when the request comes for you to send them a book? Like, will a note pop up or an e-mail get sent that says you have to verify their conditions before you send it. I am sorry if this is an obvious question. There is so much to read here that I have not seen the answer to this yet. I have sent out about 6 books so far and am worried that I will miss a special request or something and anger someone.
Oh, and I was completely out of books to read and am waiting for some books enroute so went to Barnes and Noble last night and spent $80. Ug, made me sick almost! Oh well, they will eventually be recycled in the big PBS circle of life.
You can't miss the requestor conditions when they come up. You must read them and click that "Yes, my book meets the conditions" before you get any further in the transaction.
Many are short and very clear. Others are longer and vague. If you're not sure your book meets the conditions, then mark that your book doesn't meet them, and move on. There is a box to put in a comment, but if you do so PLEASE be polite! The message is forwarded to the person with the conditions.
Welcome to PBS!
Welcome to PBS!
I have "special conditions" (called requestor conditions or RCs here), and have ordered a book from your shelf, so you should be able to see them "in action" :-)
