Racism, anti-Semitism, the Jewish Holocaust, the start of the Civil Rights Movement, set in a small Southern town in the 1950s, and seen through the eyes of a feisty girl, who is interested in the theories of Albert Einstein. A fairly quick read. A juvenile "To Kill a Mockingbird," in fact. Definitely recommended.
