Surviving on the King's favor, Lady Taras of Widnes becomes famous when one of her love potions turns a man of the royal court into a frog. The English King then orders her to kill his enemy, the Viking Wolf of the North, with her witchcraft.

When Lord Cynewulf of Amolandar enslaves the woman he found trespassing, he has no idea that he's brought about his own death. There's only one problem; he's so enamored with her that he sets out to win her hand.

Taras refuses to be tamed, yet finds she cannot openly kill Cynewulf. When Cynewulf is poisoned by her devious family at a tournament, she's forced to choose. After saving him, she flees him and her traitorous heart.

War separates Cynewulf and Taras for weeks before he rescues her and confesses his love. But even after they wed and begin to taste happiness, their enemies wreak havoc once more. It will take more than potions and brute strength to secure the country's future and their dreams.

Excellent Read. A little disappointed in the eroticism in the book, but the story just grips you.

This is an excellent read. The characters are both real and drawing. Roxi Ashe draws you into the story in the first line and keeps you till the end.
