Since they wont go in and remark the book Im not wasting my time or extra money to look for and send the dust cover. What do you think?

The member to whom you shipped your book 'Matters of the Heart' has sent you this personal message.

There wasn't a dust jacket with this book.

Hmm dont know why its doing that anyways she says she didnt know  that you had to have a Rc and then I ask to go back and mark it was marked in error but she hasnt done it

I have it some place however you did not have that as a request

This is from the help center on posting books.
Dust Jacket:
•The DUST JACKET (this is not the same as the cover of a book) does not have to be included with a book at all, unless the requestor had this in their Requestor Conditions.

•So DUST JACKET condition cannot be considered as part of the condition of a book, unless there were Requestor Conditions on the request specifying that the dust jacket be included.
•If the Dust Jacket was to be included as specified in the Requestor Conditions on the request, the Dust Jacket must meet the same conditions as defined for the cover, below.

I didn't realize I needed to set that as a request. I thought it was just understood the book would be sent with that. If you have it taht would be great. Thank you

Thank you

Please go and mark the transaction as marked in error.
Thanks

Dawn- I believe in another post she said she was not able to find it before sending. And since the rules say it does not NEED to be included it shouldn't be an issue.

And yes she does need to mark it as an error since she did not understand the rules.
I'd not waste time sending it to her because being that lightweight it would more then likely get smushed in the USPS truck.

Know what I'd do?  Fold it 25 times to fit into a note-sized envelope and mail it with a first class stamp.  (Kidding!  Kidding!  But I'd be tempted.)

Kay,

If she marks it as an error on her part, then fold up the cover once or twice and send first class , one stamp. It will travel fine, no?

That would be so funny if she did that.  Really, if people are going to be a part of this site they need to make sure they fully understand it.

Why not suggest  that maybe she could find another book to order from your shelf and you would include the dustjacket for the 1st one.  She would get her 'money's worth' for her credit and you wouldn't be out any (add'l) postage.  Win-win?

She may not know what you mean by "mark the transaction as marked in error."  Tell her she can search the Help Center for a help doc called "Follow up on Problem Swaps." Or that she can go to her transactions archive (on her My Account menu) and find the transaction there and click to submit follow-up.  One of her choices will be "Marked problem swap in error."

Editing because the formatting came out funny.  Oh well, just don't click on the blue lettering.  It won't take you anywhere.
