When you order a book from a person and they let the time expire and the book goes to the next person, does that just remove that particular book from their shelf or does it put their whole account on hold or remove all their books? Pat |

It would only put their account on hold IF the powers that be looked at the account and saw it wasn't active for some time. When they put an account on hold, they email the person to find out why they have been inactive. I don't believe it's ever just closed until they try some communication. IF I happened to let a book expire, they would see that I'm active and would do nothing. It would just be in my transactions so they could take another look if I continued to let books expire. After too many missed transactions, the system will automatically trigger an account to be put on Hold. The member would need to sign back in for the Hold to be removed. I don't think they've ever stated how many "too many" is, but it is not a lot. That book would be removed from their shelf, but it would never trigger all of their books to be removed, just a Hold. Thanks. Wasn't sure if the whole account was deleted or just the books that they let expire. Pat |
