If you enjoy books about the Indians way of life and interactions with other tribes and the "whites", this is a book to be read. Katie's life with her captors/saviors kept me fascinated. The novel brought the question to mind, "Who are the savages"?

Best book I have read all summer. When an Indian attack occurs at KATIES family farm, the family that is not killed is taken away. Katie is immediately claimed by a pair of friends that claim she is the person they have been looking for who was in a vision had by one of the Indians 2 years ago. The story is artfully told and it is hard to put it down. There are many twists and turns that keep the reader into the story. I did not want it to end and would love to see a sequel.
