Chase just wants to hang up his guns, but Katy has a treasure map and a burning desire to find the gold and the remains of her father. Finally Chase agrees to help her, but ran into all kinds of problems with outlaws, Indians and Indian spirits.

The book is a light, fast read. It was entertaining - a mix of western and romance. The author does a good job of highlighting social biases of the Old West but not in a heavy or patronizing way. I'd recommend the book for those looking for a light Western novel.
