Any spy novel suggestions for a cozy lover? Something Tommy and Tuppence-esque. I want to try a spy novel but prefer the mystery/intrigue element to action.

Thanks!

I'm not a cozy reader but The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy and Above Suspicion by Helen MacInnes may be along the lines of what you are looking for. Both have successive books.

Other spy novels I thought were a notch above the rest are (not necessarily cozy reads):

Eye of the Needle - Follett

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy - LeCarre

Funeral in Berlin - Len Deighton

The Man Who Was Thursday - Chesterton

Thanks for the suggestions, Sheila. I know there's probably not a lot of exactly what I want out there but I do want to try some spy novels anyway so this is great.

Here's the "Spies and Secret Agents" page from that wonderful website, Stop, You're Killing Me. Perhaps you will find a new author here.

There's an old series by Delano Ames -The Man Three Chins/The Man with Three Jaguars/The Man in the Tricorne Hat (not necessarily in ithat order. It features a Tommy-and-Tuppence-like couple.

Thanks Anna and Margaret. I've got plenty to start with.
