I found this book engrossing. Some reviews I have read on amazon have portrayed this book as erotic thriller. To me the mystery was uncovering the main charecters past and the truly horrible things that happened to her. A homeless and starving teen, she was taken off the streets by an evil pimp to use in his S&M "plays". How he got his whores to become the "stars"of his "plays" will break your heart. This is the story of the abuse and heartbreak of a very damaged soul. I read it in two sittings, not knowing how the main character was ever going to be ok again. She was damaged, not broken. To say one is broken means there is a chance of being fixed. I had to read it to the end, I was so concerned for her. The ending was beautiful, and not without some hope.

I found this book for sale at the library for $.50 cents. I still own it. It is one of my favorite books. It's very involved and very twisted tale of an abused woman tying to come to terms with her past before it catches up to her again. Yes it's very abusive. Not for the faint of heart.
