Don't read this book if you are looking to read about dogs. It is more an older woman's version of eat, pray, love using animals and travel to find herself after the loss of her husband. She has a witty style of writing and the book is a quick read. I pick it up based on reading about dogs. The dogs come and go quickly in the first half of the book. The second half is about her travels and the animals she encounters.
