Paul Anderson again shows that a few brave men can change the history of the galaxy.

Space Opera at its best!

"Back to your planet, to your caves and dust," the aliens ordered. They were as powerful as they were evil, and Earth had faltered before them. Now the Time-deep Aleriona were tightening their grip on the universe, and all that stood between humankind and total extenction was a band of freebooters on a firestormed planet . . . and a legendary pirate ship called the STAR FOX!

Classic SF from a master of both hard SF and fantasy, by the author of the Dominic Flandry series and the Polesotechnic League.

All in all, a good book. However it has many phrases/lyrics, etc in German/French/Etc that the author seems to expect you to be able to understand. Not critical, but it might be better if you understand more than I did (which was only "petite peu")

Earth's (well, earthlings') galactic federation in a political process with another alien race. But the former captain of the military vessel Star Fox doesn't trust them. He wants to organize a mission to the supposedly destroyed earth colony to prove the aliens' lies. The government/s won't help (or allow it) so he needs to go as a renegade ... What follows is: politics, adventure, romance, piracy, and more!
