I have been posting a few Star Trek novels at a time.  I don't even know what I have since the books are stacked 2 deep on my top library shelves.  I came across a novel by Janet Kagan -- UHURA'S SONG -- and I recall liking it a lot.  Does anyone know anything about the author?  Is there anything special anyone is looking for or can recommend to me?  I am a Trekker, not a Trekkie, and serious about Trek.  I can't wait for the new movie to be released (December, I think) but how I wish we could visit an alternate universe where the original crew still made movies.

Please PM me.   Ruth

I think the author died earlier this year. http://www.janetkagan.com/ I do know that was one of the better earlier trek books. If you want recomendations, which series did you like best? There's alot of variety in the trek books. My favorite ones are the book only series', Vangaurd, and New Frontier.

The movie has been delayed till May.
