I was looking for a new author and found a two-in-one, so to say. I got a new book, Still Life with Crow by Douglas Preston and Licoln Child. I got absolutely hooked on the booked and loved it only to find out that is part of series. This book happens to be right in the middle of the series....grrr! I want to read the whole series now. Question: Would you go back to the first book in the series or go on to the next book in line and then back to the beginning? |

I would go back to the beginning and start there. I'm one of those who has to start a series at the beginning!

Go back to the beginning. That's one of my favorite series and the first two books are definitely my favorites. |

I have to start a series at the beginning and read the books in order. |

I am glad that I'm not the only one who does this. I'll usually get through half the book and begin thinking "this sure reads like a series". I do it enough that you think I would check thoroughly. |

I also vote for going back to the begining. |

I just did this on a mystery..thought it was the 1st but it was the 2nd..I just got the 1st in the mail but sorta lost the drive now that stuff that happened was re-hashed in the 2nd book. I also read a book several years ago and just found out it was the 2nd in a series...thought something was missing but oh well! I may go back and read that one someday but who knows with mt tbr piled up sky high.. |
