This anti-environmental screed should be read for the story, clunky and far-fetched as it may be, because the "science" in it is cherry picked to show that global warming is some sort of conspiracy that most of the world's enviromental scientists have jumped into without facts or data. Anyone who reads Crichton's novels and believes the "science" in in them will become more ill-informed than they started. Crichton is a well known author but by no means a science writer.
