When I had heard that Marvel comics was doing a graphic novel of Stephen King's The Stand I will admit I was a bit hesitant on reading it. Out of all of Stephen King's novels The Stand was the one that really caught my attention and made me wonder if any of it could come true. I was worried that since the comic book was so thin (only a mere sixteen pages) that it would be impossible to put enough work in there in order to give the reader something to read but I was amazed at how detailed the comic was and it gave a way for me to visualize the words of Stephen King and get an understanding on what was going on with the characters.
This book is definitely worth getting but be warned there are six volumes each of them will have five volumes to each one so that's thirty comic books. This is the most recently issued comic and the next set won't start coming out until October or November later on this year. But like I said it's a good read especially since the artwork is done by Artist Mike Perkins the man who draws the comic book Capatain America.
