Just bought "Hood" because it sounded good, but have never read anything by him before. I'd like to hear opinions of him from those of you who have read him before. Thanks! |

You can't go wrong with anything by Lawhead. Hood is excellent. |

I just got that on audiobook, but I haven't listened yet. I liked his Albion series, but not the Pendragon one so much. I've reviewed those here: http://www.fantasyliterature.net/lawheadstephen.html |

I loved his fantasy but not so much his more "sciency" books. I heard he had pretty advanced cancer. Does anyone know how he's doing these days? |

His stories are OK but he isn't a great writer. |

I've enjoyed the "Arthur" books by him; liked Merlin the best of the bunch. I am sorry to hear he is not well. |

a very wondeful, poetic writer. You will definitely get lost in his worlds. He is one of my favorites. I really loved his Song of Albion' series. mmi Last Edited on: 6/8/08 11:56 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

I recently finished Hood -- it was excellent. Stephen Lawhead's story telling gets better and better. I listened to it on audio, which was a really good version. Here's my review: http://www.fantasyliterature.net/lawheadstephen.html I'm really looking forward to listening to Scarlett. |
