I listed this under "Hidden Gems" as well, but thought it would be a good idea to list it here as well.

Just wanted to mention a great children's author who is not well known.

Steve Tiller is a favorite around our house - he always picks incredible illustrators.

I looked him up and the database only pulls up 2 of his books (even in the unposted) - but he has a few that aren't listed.  Our favorites are Santa's Red Rocket aka Rudolph the Red Nosed Rocket, Born to Fly and Just Be Yourself - which is our all time favorite.  Great stories that incoorporate honesty, self confidence and a bit of religion (mainly in the Christmas stories)

We were very fortunate to meet Steve at a shopping fair in Kansas City  - I can't say enough good things about him and his books.

I found a site on him here www.rightstuffkids.com/about-steve.html

(hope that's how I'm suppossed to do links)
