Train 9 is finishing up so it is time to please sign up for Sticker Train 10! My computer did crash last week. My sincere apologies that it took with it all the Sticker Train info :/ Thankfully, I do have most all of your addresses on my flash drive :) However, IIRC, there were two new riders, Debbie and Renee? for Train 10. Ladies, please resend me your mailing info. i will make a new Sticker Train file on my flash drive this time, I promise!

Train 10 :) Sandy T, Train 9's Card Receipient, is very kindly starting Train 10. Once everyone has signed up, she will choose who the card is for. We do ask that that person eventually start Train 11. Lisa, Sara, and Jennifer, I know all three of you still need to be the card recipient. Anyone else? I want to be positive everyone has gotten a group card before we would start all over.

Sticker train??? I'm not exactly sure what this is, but it sounds amazing!! (I mean, I assume it will be sending stickers to another person, but you never know...) I LOOOOVE stickers! I think I would like to join but is there a post with the rules I can read before I officially commit? :)

ETA.:  can't find any instructions... would somebody be so kind and tell me.  I assume an envelope or a box goes around and the recipient takes out what she likes, puts in a set of stickers and mails it off to the next person? 

For new riders - Here is an explanation of the Sticker Train (courtesy of Mona). These instructions were taken from a previous train thread.

For a fun example. Pretend that the train participants are Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Roo. They are listed in geographical order West to East. Pooh has agreed to begin the train and will start a card for Roo. This will be a way for Roo to receive one card signed by all of his friends! Cards are welcome to be completely home-made, store bought and decorated, whatever you want. All train participants will eventually receive a card! More on that to come.

Back to our friendly bear Pooh. Pooh has decorated a card for Roo and written a message inside for him, too.

Pooh has finished Roo's card. His next step is to sort through all his many stickers! Please know there is no set or required amount expected. This is sincerely meant to be all for fun and spreading cheer. We do ask that every train rider contribute at least one sheet so that there will be variety for the next person to choose from. Pooh ends up donating 3 full sheets and 2 half sheets of stickers to the train. (Half sheets can be bigger sheets cut in half or sometimes I will get stickers that have repeats so easy to cut in half :)

Pooh is ready mail off the train! He lets his three friends know and sends it off to Piglet, the first stop (Piglet is the friend closest to Pooh in location). Geography is not my best skill. I would appreciate any map/route help. Trying to be sure for example no train starts with me here in LA goes to someone in NE, then goes back to WA, and ends up in FL. We want a straight and clear route :) Routes will be posted and also included within the package. If each of you, as we go along could cross out your name and address on the list that would be awesome.

So in a couple days Piglet gets the train! He lets Pooh, Tigger, and Roo know he has gotten it and does the same when he sends it off. This not all intending to be pushy or type A-ish just easier to keep track of where the train  is :) Piglet adds a greeting of his own to Roo's card that Pooh started. Then it is fun sticker time for Piglet. he gets to look over the 3 full and 2 half sheets Pooh contributed and began the train with. From those stickers, Piglet chooses to keep for himself 1 full and 1 half sheet. (For our sticker train, no one will know any of these #'s in terms of how many stickers each person took and contributed. I included #'s just for this example's (I hope) clarity. It would be fun to hear about which stickers all of you choose :) Piglet, from his sticker collection, contributes at least one full sheet onto the train. He then mails everything off to Tigger! Tigger goes through the same card signing and sticker process. He mails off to Roo, the train's final stop. Roo receives his card, he has a big smile to have gotten greetings from 3 of his friends at one time. Of course he has fun with the stickers, too. Train 1 (of Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Roo) has finished.

Roo, because he was the train's card recipient will go ahead and start the next card and train. That card's recipient would be either Pooh, Piglet or Tigger. Roo can put all their names into his favorite summer floppy hat, choose Pooh because it was Pooh who began his own card, doesn't matter. The important thing we want to do is be sure no one is left out of getting a card! This is another reason it is easier to have a clear train route that all aboard are kept updated on.

All types of stickers are welcome. I personally prefer no smelly (scratch n sniff or stinky, as they are sometimes called) stickers simply because they have a way of making everything else included in the package smell! I loved them as a kid not so much now. I also am aware some folks like me have the smoke free book RC on their conditions. To me that is similar to the stinky stickers on aboard our train as some riders may have smell allergies. That said, should you have some super duper stinky stickers that are too cheerful to not share, of course, they are welcome, please know that. This is not at all intended to be about me. It is for everyone :)

I just 'rode' on train 9 and there were lots of cute ones to pick from......I added a bunch of 'boy ones' as last train someone said we were skimpy on ones boys would like.....plus some Disney ones.
