For a while I've been wondering how to make that nice sticky rice you get in some Asian restaurants.  I've read about needing to steam it, and get some kind of bamboo steamer to make it, or a special rice cooker, so I abandoned the idea, but last week I found a recipe where all you need is a bowl and a microwave.  I tried it and it came out wonderful!  There's so many ways to use it.  Here's the link:

Just make sure that before soaking the rice, you rinse it in water, keep changing the water till it is clear.  You need to get short grain sticky rice, also called "Glutinous Rice."  Mine is from Thailand.  Six minutes in the microwave was all it took, after the soaking.  Hope this helps some fellow rice-lovers out there.

Anyone ever make onigiri (rice balls)?
