2.5 Multiple spelling errors by page 7... fail! Don't get me wrong this book was quite entertaining, but it was very out there and not realistic at all. Chloe still pisses me off, how the hell does she get 9 lives but all the innocent people die? I thought it was hilarious the baby was named Mye Storie (ugh!!) and Oshyn had to explain to the detective that was actually the babies name and she wasn't lying. Well yeah, if you name your child something as bogus as that, you will have to explain it cuz it ain't normal! Not sure if I want to read the next book, if I stumble across it I might, but not going out of my way to buy it!

Listen close. Can everyone hear that? That's the sound of loud applause. My applause. Tiphani, you deserve much praise for keeping racism alive and well. Kudos to you darling!
What did I learn? Well, let's see. For starters I learned that all white women have flat asses. All black men are dashing and have huge dicks. All white men are old, ugly (with the exception of the one or two the main character wants to sleep with) with - you guessed it - little dicks!
In here it says that Chloe's friend Joy was with Quon and that Quon killed her. That was never mentioned before. In fact, the story before told how Quon was with Apples and found her (and their daughter Bella) and killed her.
Does anyone know how annoying it is to have to figure out things like this while trying to enjoy a story?
Here, this is good for a chuckle. Oshyn goes to visit her grandmothers grave and she says "'Hola, Mama'," and the rest of the sentence continues like so" "...knowing she'd be happy to hear me speak in her native tongue." Well shit. Since the rest of what she said was in plain old English I'm left to assume that saying the word "Hola" is actually speaking in anothers native tongue. Well guess what friends? I bet you didn't know this about me but I happen to be very good at languages. Actually, I can speak about 7 or 8 different languages. Who'd a thunk it right? Try me.
Oshyn's employee and friend Brian, someone who was never shown to have any street ties and actually, he's white so he couldn't have street ties in an urban fiction book any, that would be far off the beaten path would it now? Anyway, Brian, all of a sudden comes to her rescue to find her kids and she "knows that if anyone could do it, he could." Can we have a little something to back this up? Anything? Just a tiny little nugget to get the story along?
Okay, now for the icing on the cake. I've saved the best for last here folks.
"Mye Storie". Uh-huh, you read it right. "Mye Storie". The main character named her some "Mye Storie". And... well... I was going to say something really funny here but...... I got nothing. I'm flat out of anything to say about that one right thur.
Tiphanie, no. Just no. NO! On so many levels, NO!
This is basically the Bitch series, with a few differences. It could have worked though, the Bitch series is freaking killer. But add in the racist comments, the wack ass names, the story that just picks up and leaves off with nothing in between, etc. and you've got the opposite of it "working", you end up with it "losing".
I'm giving it two stars and only because the first book is pretty good and this does have *some* redeeming factors. I think.
I'm going to read the third. I'd like to see how far the racism goes and how far off track she gets with the story. Maybe I'll like it, maybe she won't dig a hole for the story any deeper than it fell into with this.
As of right now, this is a prime example of why most authors should NOT do a series. Why most authors should do ONE BOOK and LET THE STORY GO.
Mye Storie. What the. Young girls will read this and name their babies that. Way to go Tiphani. Way to go.

Almost forgot - let us not forget the editing. Or lack thereof. The "editor", really, really, really, really, loves, commas. So much, that they decided to show them off, and stick them in every other sentence, in the book! I wish I loved something like that, so much. Wait, a, minute. No, I don't, that would only make me look stupid, much like, this editor, looks to any intelligent reader, who opens this! Here are a few extras in honor of the "editor" >>>>>>>>>,,,,,,,,,<<<<<<<<
