Feintuch, author of the hard science fiction "Seafort Saga" turns to fantasy. The writing is good, as well as the world which Feintuch has created; however you need to be able to handle a thouroughly dispicable anti-hero for a good part of the book.

A selfish, spoiled heir to the crown of a kingdom troubled by treason and invasion matures the hard way in this rousing medieval fantasy. A gripping read.
