THE BEST KIDS BOOK EVER! My little sister got this when she was about 6. I got my own copy a couple of years later...of course, I was in my early 20's, but that's beside the point. I would recommend this book to anyone with young children, old children, no children...doesn't matter. Everyone should read this book.

This book was hilarious. My kids and I all enjoyed it. I also recommend Squids Will Be Squids by the same author.

Nice illustrations. Parodies of traditional stories make for good reads aloud. May be enjoyed by smart alecs.

This book was a favorite for me and my siblings growing up, and I couldn't wait to get my own copy to read to my nieces and nephews!

Cute silly book good for older kids who are 8-12 years old. Didn't work that well for ym younger reader but we will put it away for a bit and enjoy it in the future.

Delightful and hilarious and not nearly long enough.

From cover to cover one never knows what to expect. Pages are upside down and Jack the narrator seems to cause just as much trouble. The stories in the book poke fun at all of the traditional fairy tales we thought we thought we knew by heart. Everything from the way the text is laid out to the illustration screams craziness and havoc. This is a book for an adult to share with a child (it's a little much for a child without adult guidance- that is why it doesn't get more stars). A fun book for all!

I love this book! It's hysterical! I love fractured fairy tales and that's what this book is. If you know the story of the Ginger bread man... then you will love this parody.

I recommend everyone read this book!

My son (age 8) liked this book. It inspired him to write his own funny books.

This book was creatively done. I love reading it to my kids, who also hear the original versions of the stories. They get to see how silly this book is.

Hmmm, I'm planning to give it to a 3rd grader (a boy, of course), I hope it isn't over his head. (I think most elementary school students would have to be pretty precocious to understand this.)

As advertised, for all ages. Many typefaces, tongue-in-cheek text, and outlandish illustrations.
But not wish listed by anyone here. How sad!
