A veterinarian who listens and talks with animals has a harder time with men. When she find a lost reindeer in Arizona things get slightly confusing. The holidays are just too much for her to bear with all the losses in her life and a mother who's just not someone she can understand.

A contractor who lost his wife in a terrorist attack in a foreign country can't seem to commit to anyone, not even his daughter. Keeping her safe in a boarding school seems the right thing to do until she tries running away to come home to him and her horse who is desperately missing her.

Everything seems to right itself at Christmas time in Stone Creek. Even Kris Kringle makes an appearance.
