Bentley Little is a great horror writer. If you enjoy books by authors such as Stephen King and Dean Koontz, you will probably also like Bentley Little. In this book, a new business called The Store moves into a small town and totally takes over. Once someone applies to work at The Store, there is no turning back. I loved this book! I didn't expect it to be as good as it actually was. Once I started reading it, I could hardly put it down! If you like horror novels, you should love this one!

I loved this book and couldn't put it down. I love how Bentley Little takes something out of our everyday lives and turns it into an insane horror story. This book started my quest on reading every book written by Bentley Little.

This was an interesting premise. A national chain comes into a small town and destroys the local economy. It is accomplished slowly, insidiously and sometimes with a supernatural twist. I want to know what King is, what the night managers are and what happened to Sam. These are all questions that add to the 'Horror" nature of this novel.

My first Bentley Little book and I can tell you this author is CREEPY! Satisfyingly sinister book about a discount retail store chain whose CEO has a business plan that will send chills down your spine.

I liked this one a lot--it is really a chiller, the only thing I don't like is the filth that is put in as you get closer to the end, but it is a creepy book

I've already shared my opinion on Bentley Little as an author - he's an evil genius of bad dreams, and takes the "ewww-factor" to a new level with his writing. I'm not seeking out his books anymore (my stomach's not as strong as it used to be before I had my kids) but I did enjoy "The Store."

Imagine if Wal-mart was evil. Not evil like they are now... but really, actually evil. When a new branch of The Store opens up, birds drop dead from the sky in the parking lot. Customers find wares for sale you wouldn't traditionally find in a general big-box store. And then there's the night staff....

This book had a great premise, and I applaud Little for always pushing the envelope and finding new things in society to make scary. "The Store" is pretty horrifying in a number of scenes, but its like a train wreck - even though you know you should, you just can't look away.

This was my first Bentley Little novel and I fell for him hook, line, and sinker! Later came several others and I found I couldn't get enough. But still my first, this one, is my favorite. It's got everything the King/Koontz readers
are craving, but with a different twist. Prepare to be horrified and at times even disgusted. But in a good way!

typical Bentley Little, mystery, horror, sex and a little violence thrown in for good measure. I enjoyed the story and will read more of his work.

Juniper, Arizona is an off-the-map desert town the retail giant called The Store has choosen for its new location. Now everything you could possibly want is under one roof, at really good prices. BUT you better be careful what you wish for. The place demands something of its customers that goes beyond brand loyalty. At The Store, one stop shopping becomes last-stop shopping.

I read The Association and decided to try The Store. I generally don't read this genre, but after reading these two, I'd probably pick up another Bentley Little when I wanted something different to read, but only after reading the reviews. It's sort of a Wal-Mart meets The Devil.

A little humor, a lot more horror. When something is close to real life, I think it's scarier! :)

It used to be just spiders, zombies, and crowds. Now -- thanks to Bentley Little -- I'm scared of STORES too!

This was the first Bentley Little I read. I thought it was a great book. Since then, I've been reading everything he writes.
