Time appears to stand still in Naomi Fisher's Pennsylvania Amish Community...But she's running out of time to correct a terrible mistake.
Naomi was content with her life..until her mother died in an accident; until her somber father needed her to tend the family store every day; until her "English" friend showed her how confining her life had become; until her heart started to long for romance.
Very good book - I enjoyed it very much.
When Naomi turns her back on one basic duty, the unthingable happens - and now she feels unworthy to accomplish anything set before her. How can she escape the weight on her spirit that paralyzes her emotions? Is there any redemption for such a fail

If you love the Amish fiction from the other big author but have read all her books, this is a good second. I read this book very quickly as it held my interest and I really did enjoy the characters. Really anything Amish will interest me. If you come from a childhood where you were not loved by your father, the way the relationship ends between a father and daughter in the story may help heal you; or may just really upset you even more. Also, if you grew up with a lot of younger siblings you will relate to this book well, regardless of your beliefs.

Excellent book about the Amish way of life and the feelings that a young woman goes through with all the things that happen to her family.
