Once in awhile a book seems to jump off the bookshelf into my arms and it is just the book I need right then. Wick's latest offers more than its fair share of grief and healing, a gentle double romance, and a family I would be pleased to have as my own. Wick's greatest gift is found in the families she creates, who talk, tease, laugh, pray, and cry together. Perhaps life never was as idyllic as Wick implies, but her latest story still left me feeling warm inside.

This is a very good Christian based romance novel. The story is based around a mother and her three daughters and her father-in-law. The two older girls have grown and are working far away from home. The story has a compelling story line that hooks your interest and keeps it!! You will love it!!

I received this book-read it in one night! This is a great story about God's constancy and ever pescence. A terrific love story about two people brought together by WWII. Their family members are strong against their own tragedies. Excellent read.

1945-Rigg thought about his ideals as he'd entered the war. He'd told the Lord he was up for anything. He told God and his family that if he had to lay down his life for his country, he was willing.
What he hadn't banked on was an island in the middle of the South Pacific and an American woman, the lone survivor of a plane-crash, found nearly starved to death. He was supposed to be working alongside men. He was supposed to be commanding them, getting the war fought and sending them all home alive.
He hadn't figured on a woman with huge brown eyes, probably close to his own age, whose family must be sick with worry for her and whose vulnerability was almost more than his heart could take.
He'd given everything to the war. Now, can he find a hidden gift in these desparate circumstances?

When i received this book in the mail i thought it was going to be a bored, but after i started reading it i find it to be very interesting and a good read.

The book is about a man, who was up for anything and was willing to give up his life for his country. But while he was fighting for freedom and country he met a woman out on a South Pacific island, where she was found starving after her plane went down. So vulnerable and close to death, he end up looking out for her....

Very heart warming.

Boring, predictable, and just not that great. If you want some good Lori Wick, try her earlier stuff.
