I loved this, even if it is a depressing story. The details are intense and the story rocks you to the core a bit.

I found this tale of excess and self-indulgence during the 70's a little depressing. There is a term in Alcoholics Anonymous called "dry drunk", when the alcoholic has stopped drinking but still behaves like an active drinker. The impression I got from this book is that the author still misses and craves her junkie/dealer lifestyle. It does prove the point of how insidious and difficult it is to break an addiction.
