I heard all the hype about this book on TV; apparently this book put Munson on the charts with this personal memoir, after writing 14 unpublished ones. If you are grappling with a spouse who wants to end the marriage, this book provides good tools on how to keep yourself sane without reacting and fighting with your spouse. She describes not allowing outside influences dictate your own personal happiness. Well that is difficult when you are married to someone who makes a choice that will affect your future. She tries to trust her gut instinct that it will all work out and focus on her own personal quest in life. I thought it was good yet left a lot of unanswered questions, since this is only written from her point of view and we have no clue as to what the husband was going through. I wish there was more about the breakdown rather than her own personal thoughts on what was happening.

I would hope that if I were ever in her position, I would handle it with as much grace and poise. She consciously, on purpose, chose not to suffer through what could be deemed as THE most difficult thing a wife would go through.
It was written with pure honesty, some good humor (considering her anger) and so much love for her family. I LOVED this book!

I liked this account of a woman who is determined to save her marriage with her husband requests a divorce.

This is without a doubt the most worthless book I have ever read. Maybe if I were younger I could better connect, but I doubt it. It was difficult to relate to the main character, the author, and not enough information about her husband to form a solid opinion; though I would really like to know why, after more than 20 years of marriage, he suddenly began treating her so cruelly. She found a way to deal with it that worked for her; but in reality it would be difficult, if not impossible, for most women to accomplish. The only good thing I took away with me is ordering a book she referred to explaining her method of enduring her crisis - as well as her life in general. Maybe it will give me some insight that I found missing in her book. The book received great reviews, but I found very little of value in her story and reading it was a complete waste of my time.

Not what I expected at all.
