Ok, I'm confused.  I was just posting some books to my shelf.  I am a Gold Key member and four of the books showed that they were on wishlists for other Gold Key members.  All four of the books said they were on a wishlist for Friend "A" and Friend "B" (the same people requesting each book).  There was also a choice to post straight to FIFO if I wanted to.  I decided to post all of the wishlisted books to Friend "A" since the postage will be cheaper.

Now the problem...when I posted the books, only two of the books show up on my wishlist hold tab.  I clicked on the PM to see that one is waiting for Friend "A" and one is waiting for someone else who wasn't a choice.  I went to my shelf to see if the other two books were on a 1-hour hold.  Neither of those books are being held and show on my shelf as available in FIFO.

So, what the heck happened?  I checked the wish lists of both Friend "A" and Friend "B".  Neither of them are looking for the other three books that the system said they wanted.  Do you think this is a glitch?

Robin

Robin - Which are the books that show up on your bookshelf as available FIFO? I just want to check and see if I can see them too.

It may be that both your friends put those books on hold from the time you checked to the time you posted but that seems really unlikely. As you say, it seems like a glitch to me so the only people who could answer the question are the Team (TGs cannot see into people's accounts.)

Do you know if Friend A had the credits to accept the books and was online at the time? Friend A may not have had the credits available and either clicked the Not Now button (which woud have put them on Hold and you would not be able to see their wish) or they declined the offers and their wish was removed.

You can PM the Friend or send in Feedback to find out what happened. '

Usually before I would post that many books to one person I would PM them to see if it was OK. They may have had limited credits that they wanted to reserve for books they were closer to the top of the lists for and if they had already used their Not Now, might lose a place in the Wish List line. The Not Now button makes knocking a Friend off of the Wish List not as much of a risk thankfully.

The books are VIPER MOON by Lee Roland & KISS OF A DEMON KING by Kresley Cole.  I just checked and there are copies of them already in the system.  Looks like there were glitches when I posted the books.

I always PM before I post multiple books to people. For the reasons that DG mentioned but also becuase sometimes people forget to remove books from their WL that they get elsewehere (or got a different version here and PBS didn't connect the editions).  I've pm'd people offering them WL books only to have them thank me for asking first because they already had that book and forgot to remove it from their WL.  I've found books on my WL that I received through PBS and it didn't remove them when I marked the edition I got received.  I've also had people I PM'd about WL books that didn't have enough credits and asked me to wait until they acquired some.
