Amu Djoleto was born in a small Ghanaian village in 1929. He went to Accra Academy and St. Augustine's College, Cape Coast, and taught English at the University of Ghana. He is now [1968] in charge of the Ministry of Education's developing publishing programme.
The Strange Man was first published and 1967 and then published as Number 41 in Heinemann's African Writers Series in 1968.« less
