This was the second series.

After reading The Seduction of his Wife I had to read this one. I enjoyed it as must as the first.

Another in her Knight family series. Ethan Knight gets fired his first day at the family's newly purchased lumber mill--for decking the female foreman! Anna's all business, and hoping no one remembers her as the daughter of the town's infamous 'loose woman.' Ethan rescued her from some local boys unwanted 'attentions' back when she was young, and her crush on him has never stopped. But her knew her under a different name back then. Determined to get her own inherited, abandoned and dilapidated mill up and running, Anna suddenly finds she has the time when Ethan fires her! Unscrupulous developers want her land, but Ethan wants her heart....

In "The Seduction of His Wife", Janet Chapman introduced the Knights, an ambitious logging family whose fortunes and hearts are tied to the rugged mountains of Maine. Now, Ethan Knight is drawn into the famiy business...and deep into temptation.
When Ethan agreed to work at a sawmill his famiy is purchasing, he didn't foresee getting fired on his first day. He should be mad at the fiercely outspoken female foreman, but something about her seems disconcertingly familiar--even though Ethan is sure he'd remember meeting a stunning beauty like Anna Segee before.
Anna has never forgotten Ethan--or the schoolgirl crush she had on him before her father whisked her off to Canada. Now the shy, gangly girl is grouwn up and back in Oak Grove with a new name, new confidence, and a newly inherited mill of her own. Her superb reputation in a male-dominated industry hasn't come easy, but even harder will be ignoring the sexy man Ethan has become...

Book 2 in the Knight Brothers stories. Ethan Knight takes over running a new family business acquisition, who's foreman is a woman. A woman from his past who he doesn't recognize. I loved this book as well as the first one "The Seduction of His Wife".

As for the story. Well, it was OK. Their history felt kind of weak to me, but I went with it. I really wanted to see some more angst with that though. Perhaps if she had been a little older in the past? I dunno. I really would have hoped for some more close encounters before they actually jumped into the bed.

I have to admit it was not as good as The Seduction of His Wife, but still it was a cute read. Good follow-up to the first book.
