1982. Eric Hansen, with only a bedsheet, a change of clothes, and a basket of barter goods, walked into the rain forest of Borneo and hiked for 1500 miles, from the north-west to the east coast of Borneo and back, finding various native guides along the way. A humorous, but gripping story with a number of black and white photos; I especially liked the one of a native man carrying what looks like a 300-lb. pig strapped to his back.
