Back of Book says: Bambolona is tired of workin in her papa's bakery. There is just too much to do. So Bambolona goes to Strega Nona to learn to be a Strega. Now, Big Anthony wants to be a Strega too. Silly Anthony. Who's ever heard of a boy Strega?

I Say: If you've not read about Strega Nona before you've missed a treat. This Italian folk tale is delightful. Strega is a witch, and is forever having adventures with her silly servant Big Anthony (who will mess with magic and cause trouble with everyone. For those of you worried about a witch story - this is a good series with very good morals to be thought about and discussed.
