I keep finding reference to this book, but can never find it in any of the places that list Stuart Woods books (except one), and have never been able to find out what it's about or anything else, except the ISBNs,  I finally sent Mr. Woods an e-mail asking if he'd ever written the book (I've found that a couple of authors who were credited with books, hadn't actually written them), or if possibly it had been published under another name, etc.,  Below is his reply.  There are 4 people out there who have it wishlisted.  (I took my name off, as did another WLer).   Pat

It never got written; the insurance blew me away.

That's all he said?  "It never got written; the insurance blew me away."  What does that even mean?  I love his books, well I really loved the earlier stuff and I do read everything he puts out.  It does seem lately, that maybe he is just coasting thru the story sometimes.

That is weird.  Maybe he couldn't get insurance to do something dangerous tocover the research he need to do?  Hard to say without knowing what the book was supposed to be about.

I'm thinking the same thing Mary said. Otherwise, why would the insurance be any different than any of his other books? Unless, the subject matter was close to possibly getting a slander lawsuit, as it might have been suggestive of some situation in real life, and the insurance company didn't want to back him if he got sued.

I have a Stuart Woods: Advance Reader's Copy available if anyone's interested. Details are in my signature.

That's what he wrote back.  Don't know what it means either, other than possibly he had to get some type of insurance to make sure the book got written on time? and it was so high and he really wasn't into the book so decided not to write it??????
