Don't  forget if you are a student you can sometimes get discounts. I got a discount at the movies the other night with my student ID. Also I know some coffee places around will do student discounts.

I went back to college a couple of years ago when I turned 40 and the school gives out a list of places that I can get discounts at with my id card.  There is a grocery in the town that I work in that is the only one I can buy a certain breakfast bar and tea at.  If I go on a Saturday I get a 5% discount for my id and they double all coupons up to 50 cents.  I had about $11 in 3 items and with the coupons, the doubling, and the discount it came up to a little over $4!

Wow, wonderful savings!  I love using my student ID card to get discounts into museums, and places like Stubridge Village in MA.  I did have a ticketperson at Mystic Aquarium in CT be rude to me when I asked if they offered student discounts, I have never heard anyone say no so icily.

For older folks, AAA has similar. (They are also nice when your car breaks down.)  I wish I could remember to ask about it more often!
