The best audio book I have listened to so far is "The Help" followed quickly by "Anne of Green Gables" and "To Kill a Mockingbird",,,, I am trying to find some other good books to listen to.  What would you suggest ?

The Kitchen House is a really good book, if you liked The Help.

There's a huge thread on this topic in Hidden Gems.  It has some wonderful suggestions.

Some of my favorites are:  The Help, Before I Go to Sleep by S.Watson, The Shining - Stepen King, Alas, Babylon - Pat Frank, A Dog's Purpose - Bruce Cameron.  I love audio books - I could go on and on.

Try People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks.  Just fantastic.   As is The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver in the unabridged set.  The narrator in both books gets the characters just right.

Two summers ago I was painting my house and I checked out the unabridged copy of the Count Of Monte Cristo.  It was 35 discs but completely worth listening to, I had always wanted to read it but never got around to it.  It made a long chore a lot less boring and I did enjoy it a lot.

Summer Rental by Mary Kay Andrews was funny and very enjoyable.  It is 15 hours long, but we listened to it as we traveled to and from our vacation, and it really made the trip pass quickly.

The Harry Potter series was good as the narrator created different voices for each character. I never would have read the books but because they were on audio, they got me hooked.

Barbara Rosenblatt is also a good narrator and she does the Goldy Schultz caterer cozy murder mystery series by Diane Mott Davidson. The Sisters Trilogy by Nora Roberts was good too.
