Hi all!

I've been picking up a few chick lit books recently.  I also like paranormal and sci fi... so I had a blast with MaryJanice Davidsons Hello Gorgeous.  I'm looking for some light fun easy to obtain chick lit here at PBS.  If it has other themes, like paranormal, scifi, mystery, I like those too.

I just ordered, and think I'll like the second Gorgeous book, and Size 12 is not fat by Meg Cabot.  Anything else you can suggest?

Edie

Edie, if you search for Red Dress Ink, you'll find a bunch of books that are available on PBS (over 100 come up as available.)
If you like chick lit mysteries (along the lines of Size 12 is Not Fat), try out the Jennifer Sturman or Kyra Davis books.  Each writes a series with the same main character.  Another suggestion is to just check the shelves of the people who post here often.  We generally have a lot of chick lit.

Good luck!

Rachel

Hi Edie! If you like series, you should check out the "Slightly" series from Red Dress Ink by Wendy Markham. It's a really cute fun series  with 5 books (all but the last 2 books should be available in the system).

Some of my other favorite authors widely available: Beth Kendrick, Whitney Gaskell, and Jane Porter.  Also, Sophie Kinsella and Jennifer Weiner are very popular chick lit authors you may have already read.

I don't know anything about sci-fi or paranormal, but Rachel's suggestions of Kyra Davis and Jennifer Sturman definitely get my second vote! Also, these aren't classified as strictly chick lit, but the Blackbird Sisters cozy mysteries by Nancy Martin are really girly and fun, and most if not all are available on PBS.

Welcome to the chick lit board! :)

Check out my shelf. I believe you can (I'm not 100% sure) sort by publication date. I have tons of chick lit and am doing a 5 for 2 sale. Enjoy!

I have liked PS I Love You.  For science fiction/ fantasy you might like Kiss of Fate by Mary Jo Putney and Curse of Challion by Lois McMaster Bujold.  I can recommend Ashton's Bride by Judith O'Brien.  There are lots of others out there, these are the ones that I liked and are currently in the system although not on my book shelf.  I am keeping my copies of these books.
