I am thinking about getting a kickboxing DVD to help motivate me for this winter.  I have never tried kickboxing before and would be interested in hearing what other folks have and likes/dislikes.  I do have a few of The Biggest Loser Workout DVDs and I do like them.  I know Jillian has one out but having never done kickboxing before I don't know if it is too advanced for me.  Also, is there any equipment needed like jump ropes, mats, weights, etc.??

As far as equipment goes it will depend on the video.  The basics would be a free standing bag and gloves.  I have Danny Sullivan's kickboxing videos.  They give me a good workout but nothing can compare to a live class.  I love having a partner to hold pads for combinations.  But if you can't get to a class a bag, gloves and yes, a jump rope will give you a GREAT workout.  My bladder isn't a fan of the jump rope!   Good luck and have fun!
