I have twin nephews who will turn 10 soon.  They need to read for school and hate reading!  I know, crazy!  They like the Captain Underpants series and have read most of them.. I think they also read some of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid... Do you have any suggestions on similar type books?  Thanks!!

How about "The Day My Butt Went Psycho".   It is a higher reading level, but fun for boys.

Have you seen the website for Guys Read?  Guys Read

and the book?  They talk quite a bit about finding books that interest boys.  As boys often lag behind on reading scores.  They list books in categories like Robots and Explosions.

Jon Scieszka (Stinky Cheese Man, Time Warp Trio and Trucktown) started the book of short stories and the website to address the issue that reading test scores for boys are continuing to drop.  He does a lot of out reach to librarians to talk about the subject.  Talks about getting wrestling and skateboarding magazines into children's libraries.
