I have never been much of a mystery or horror book reader but have decided that I would like to delve into this genre. I need some good titles and authors to check out. I'm looking for books that have a good suspense and ghost haunting type scenerios. Any suggestions would be welcome.. I'm not all that much into blood and gore either...

Hi Kathleen ~ I read your profile and saw that you like Christian fiction so the first book that came to my mind that you might enjoy is House by Ted Dekker & Frank Peretti.  It's been a while since I've read it but I do not think it was that bloody or gory.  Maybe someone else can elaborate a little bit if they have read the book recently.  Good luck picking your next book! ~ Rebecca

The Dwelling by Susie Moloney is a great haunted house story.  I don't remember it having much in the way of blood or gore.

Most of the books I read are gory.  But building on Rebecca's suggestion- I read three by Ted Dekker.  It was very good book.  The movie was good also, but I would only suggest watching it, if you had read the book.
