Hi. My daughter is 6 years old and in 1st grade but her reading level is more of 3rd grade or maybe early 4th. She has read the A to Z mysteries, Bailey School Kids, Dragon Slayer Academy, Pirate School, My Weird Planet, My Weird School (and Daze), Magic School Bus and Treehouse, Junie B Jones, Cam Jansen, Amber Brown, Flat Stanley, and more. She likes them but once done, she doesn't want to re-read them. For Christmas I want to get her books that she will re-read. The only things she currently has that she re-reads are her children's Bible and a Shel Silverstein book of poetry (Falling Up). Can anyone suggest anything on her level (or slightly above) that she may want to re-read? I really need suggestions. Thanks.

I love the Boxcar Children though the first ones are quite dated (60's I think)

maybe Hank the Cowdog? or one of the pony or horse series? dont' have a kid just trying to think what my friend's niece has liked) not sure what level the American Girls are but, um, I like reading them LOL!

i would second the american girl series.  i read those over and over as a child.  you might also consider beverly cleary (ramona books) or the little house on the prairie series.

she sounds like quite the reader!

My daughter has enjoyed books by Beverly Cleary.  She also enjoyed the Judy Moody series and the Katie Kazoo series.  My daughter flies through books as well.  Not sure I will ever find a book that she will re-read, but atleast you can find a wide variety here.  She just got a ton of books for Christmas so maybe I will clean off her bookshelf to make room for them and post them here.

Does she like dogs? My daughter is totally hooked on 2 series right now -- Puppy Place (Ellen Miles) RL. 2-3 and Puppy Patrol (Jenny Dale) RL 4. She has read & reread each of these books more times than I can count!

The Fairy books by Daisy Meadows are mid-third to early-fourth grade reading level. They can be a bit repetitive, in my opinion, but my daughter LOVED them! They have approximately 12 SERIES and each series has 7 books.

Nancy Drew notebooks or Little House on the Prairie series are great,   My daughter liked the Amelia Bedeliah books also.
