  There he lies before me
Everyone crying around him
Dead for all to see

He took his own life
Tears cannot be held back
It cuts us like a knife

What if I did this
Would he still be alive
What if I did that

What could have been done
Nothing can I do now to bring him back
With earth he now is one

He said his goodbyes
Tied all his loose ends
Why didn’t I realize

I liked this. People considering suicide seldom think of the impact on their loved ones. It's a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Well written.

Hi. I just love this poem. It's just so well written. But, I want you to know that there's nothing you could have done to stop it. That's probably what everyone's told you, but it's seriously coming from my heart. I wish you only the best! Lots of Love, Abby
