No Wiccan ceremony can be effective without first evoking (forming a psychic space with a group of people in which a God-form can manifest Him- or Herself) and invoking (welcoming the God or Goddess into the circle so that He or She can speak and intereact on this earthly plane). When done correctly, invocation and evocation allow participants to personally apprehend Divinity for purposes of worship, healing and change.
