This is a wonderful book for a begining knitter. It is reccomended for children aged 9-12, as the pattern Sunny knits is in that size range, but the book does have the "recipe" for Lovikka mittens in other sizes as well. My daughter enjoyed the story, but is aprehensive to try the pattern. (Much like Sunny in the story.) Overall a wonderful book.
