This is the true story of Jan Howard, who sang on the Grand Ole Opry. Her story is filled with hard times, but yet a determination to overcome the trials. And she did! It contains quite a lot of foul language, so bewarned. But it is an awesome story of how "when the going gets tough, the tough get going". M copy was already used when I got it, and there are some markings on the book, but nothing that gets in the way of reading it.

I enjoyed this book very much. It was just like listening to Jan talk. I had no idea she had such a hard life. A lesser person would have gone down the tubes instead of going ahead and making a good life for herself and her sons.
