Though I am not a teacher I recently read a article concering the new film about teaching.
Is it just me who finds the whole ''no child left behind'' a disaster.
IMHO all of the oil is going to the squeaky wheels leaving the average student in limbo.
Until we can admit that some children just don't want to learn then I am afraid the whole sysem will continue going downhill.
I honestly don't think that "some children don't want to learn." It's just that they learn differently - making it difficult for them to learn in a classroom setting.
We are all wired differently. Different likes and dislikes. Different skills and talents. So why, are we all expected to sit in a class and all learn the same material, at the same time, in the same way?
I believe ALL children LOVE to learn. It just needs to be done in the way that works for them.
