This book totally rocked! I read it all in one day, I literally could NOT put it down! The best book I've read in a long long time! I wish there was a movie based on it, but knowing Hollywood they would just ruin it anyway! I waited a few months for this book to come up here at PBS and it was definitely worth the wait! awesome awesome awesome!

Finding truly scary books is not an easy task, but this one fits the bill. And then some. I absolutely loved it! It scares you and makes you think about the origins of ghosts/ghost stories, the nature of reality, the power of the human mind, and the list goes on. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. This is one of the best ghost stories I've ever read!
Great read. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's a supernatural thriller that is tightly plotten and it's a riveting read to the final, satisfying full stop.
Great story line where a group comes together to try and disprove the existence of ghosts or of the unknown in general. Coming at it from the perspective that we ourselves are creating the paranormal occurrences that may happen. So they try to create a ghost, someone who has never existed before, but what happens when the Ouija board comes out blows them away. This is a great ghost story and I loved this book.
This was one of those "unputdownable" books. Its broke up into short chapters, which I like, it helps me to keep going in other books. This one I didn't want to stop. It has lots of surprises in it, lots of thrills, no blood and gore, it was written back in the day so I like some of the innocence in it, things to me were way better back in the 70s and 80s with books and movies. I love rotary phones and no cell towers lol.

I didn't love this one as much as his others even though the subject matter was right up my alley. I admit to skipping to the end but it didn't help me understand exactly what happened. I got the basic idea but there was one or two details that puzzled me.
But still, an excellent read by a great author! I'm still ready to read more of his stuff.
