If you are hopelessly disorganized or feel overwhelmed by housework, then this book may provide a little guidance. Not only does the author lay out the steps necessary to keep a clean home she also provides recipes for homemade cleaners and polishes. She gives tips for wise shopping and even has advice on home repairs and maintenance including taking care of your car. She has a section on moving, a section on dealing with emergencies and home safety. She even delves into family dynamics. You may end up ignoring most of her advice but you will certainly find some nuggets of wisdom that you can apply to your own situation.

Superwoman is a practical, hilariously realistic guide to avoiding unnecessary housework--without feeling guilty. "Housework should be a background for life, not a reason for life," says Shirley Conran. That's the Superwoman Philosophy. Superwoman covers everything from leaky faucets to managing debt, credit card and soaring budgets...all the dos and don't-have-to-dos of running a problem free house..
