Hello,

I am new, and hope someone can help me out.  I signed up after seeing my mom recieve several books.  Some had highlighting in them so I didn't know that was "against the rules".

so anyway, I listed a book that has highlighting in it, and before I could remove it, it was requested.  I have sent the requester a pm asking him/her if she would still like it even with the highlighting.  He/She has not responded yet, and I have to mark as mailed tomorrow.

I do not want to send him/her the book if they are going to be unhappy with it, but am not sure what will happen if I just don't send it.

Any help on this would be appreciated, thank you!

No, do not send it out unless they respond saying they want with the highlighting.  The book does not follow the PBS guidelines for posting, and the person can (and should) demand that you refund their credit if you send the book out with highlighting.

I've never tried to cancel an order after I had already accepted it.  If there is a "cancel" button of some sort, then you should go ahead and do that.  If not, you should send in a contact form explaining the situation and asking PBS to cancel the transaction.

There is a cancel button, but I guess I'd wait to see what the Requester says first in the event they really want the book.

You should double check the rules here Link so that you don't run into this sort of problem again in the future.

Ok, I guess it was ok to list it anyways, it is a workbook.  So highlighting would be ok, but I still need to contact the requestor.  So, I will wait til she/he responds and then if not, I will cancel.

thanks again!!! :D
