I don't know how the sender got this wrong, but I've been on this wish list for a certain book. There are multiple versions of this book with different ISBN's. I get the copy of the book that I don't want even though I was on the wish list for the other version. Now, I've lost my spot on the wish list and I have this book I don't want. I really didn't want to swap it again because I wasn't planning on going to the p.o. this week. (It's a popular book with wishers waiting for it.) Any ideas on what I should do? Do I have to wait at the end of the wish list AGAIN?

If it wasn't the book you ordered (you don't explain what was wrong about the book you received), then you can mark it RWAP, let the sender know that it was the wrong book (and why), ask for your credit back and you should go back to the top of the WL for that book.

If it was the wrong book you can either ask the sender for a credit or postage to send it back or if she doesn't want it back, you can repost it.  You don't have to do it this week and even if you do you have 5 days to respond, another 5 days to mail it and a 2 day grace period, so that gives you 12 days from the time you post it until you have to mail it.

If you don't mark it RWAP you will go back to the bottom of the WL when you request the book again.  HTH.  Pat

You need to mark the book "Received, With a Problem". If you have already marked it "Received", it is too late to fix it.

If the problem is that the book that was sent to you is the wrong ISBN, then you pick "Wrong Book" as the problem.

You should PM the other member, explain the problem, and ask for your credit back.

When you mark books RWAP, PBS will automatically put you back in your previous spot in the Wish List line. So, you will go right to the top.

Thanks so much! It wasn't clear from the help section (what I saw) that marking RWAP would automatically put me back on the list.

I just thought of another question now. If the sender does want the book back, how would they send the postage to me? Or would they ask for postage due?

If the sender wants their book back, they need to give you an additional credit to cover the postage or give you the postage $$ to send it back.  Don't send it back without getting the extra credit or $$ up front.  You are not obligated to return an incorrect book to the sender at all.

If, for some reason, you don't get back at #1 for the version of the book you want, then use the "contact us" link at the bottom of this page to send the PBS team a note about what happened.  They can restore you to #1 if the system doesn't automatically do it.  They'll be able to see the RWAP in your transaction archive and all PMs between you and the sender.

If the sender wants the book back, she needs to give you a credit to cover postage.

Ok, let me make sure I have it all. So if the sender wants it back, they would refund my credit and send me another credit for postage for a total of two sent to me?
